Building independent AI capability in Western Australia.
Concertato combines applied development, independent research and collaboration with a long-term ambition to strengthen AI capability in Western Australia.
Why Concertato
exists
Artificial intelligence is changing who can participate in complex work, research and creation. Tasks that once required specialist access, large organisations or years of technical training are increasingly within reach of more people. Concertato exists to help extend that opportunity.
Concertato is an independent artificial intelligence research and development organisation based in Western Australia. We are interested in both applied systems that solve important real-world problems and longer-horizon research into new approaches to intelligence.
Our initial work is centred on language models and specialised AI systems. We do not regard today's architectures as the boundary of the field.

A Western Australian base,
with a global outlook.
Our ambition is to contribute to a stronger concentration of AI research, talent and collaboration in Western Australia. We want WA to be a place where researchers, students, organisations and collaborators choose to work on important AI problems.

commercialisation
Commercial outcomes can help fund and accelerate research, but they should not become the sole measure of which questions are worth pursuing.
What could we explore together?
We welcome conversations with researchers, industry and people with deep domain expertise.
